Happy Thanksgiving "Turkey"

I have been holding on to this card for quite some time now.  I thought I would share it before Thanksgiving to give you inspiration for your own projects.

 

The turkey body is done with punches and the tail feathers are made up of a flower that was stamped and cut out.  How cute is that?!

I hope that each of you have a very blessed Thanksgiving and appreciate all of the important things in life like your family and friends.  While you are at it, take time out for yourself and "stamp a little love" to give to someone this holiday season!

Happy Blessings Thanksgiving Card

 

Isn't this scarecrow adorable?  I call the scarecrow a "she" because she has a flower in her hat.  I made this card recently for a swap that a group of demonstrators and I did using stamp sets from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.  I made this card before I left for the Cabin Scrappin' Retreat and cut the supplies for 20 more cards and bringing them to the retreat and making the rest of my swaps up while I was away.  Man, did all those gel pen dot layers for 20 swap cards take forever:))

All the supplies used on this card are from Stampin' Up! and are as follows:

Cardstock:  Watercolor Paper, Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red and Handsome Hunter

Inks:  Timber Brown StazOn, Chocolate Chip and Handsome Hunter

Accessories:  Aqua Painter, Watercolor Crayons, Sponge Wedge, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, Scallop Circle Punch, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, White Gel Pen, Neutral Buttons, Mini Glue Dot, Caramel Gingham Ribbon, Craft and Ribbon Scissors and Needle from Crafter's Tool Kit.

New Photo Albums Added to Blog

In case you haven't already seen them, I wanted to let you know that I have added two new photo albums to my blog over the last week.  One contains photos of my Cabin Scrappin' Retreat and the other contains Home Decor idea photos using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with Dies and also using Decor Elements by Stampin' Up! 

Most of the photos from the Home Decor album are photos that I took while at Convention this year.  I absolutely love the displays that Stampin' Up! shared with us while we were there.  I have had these photos on my password protected downline/group blog and thought I would share them on my public blog now that Phase 2 of the Decor Elements has been released.  I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do!  The photo album shows some samples of different ways to use the Decor Elements.  There are some glass jars, shadow boxes, picture frames, glass door panels, etc. shown in there besides the photos of them being used on walls. 

 

The Spooky Spider Decor Elements that was put on a large jar and used for candy was a bit hit at Convention.  People have been going NUTS over that item this month.  If you haven't ordered yours yet, be sure to check out the flyer to decide which size you would like.  This item is available until October 31st, but you will want to order yours in time to get it for your Halloween decorating!

Fall / Halloween Treat Bag

Before the new Stampin' Up! Fall/Winter Idea Book and Catalog came out, I was asked to demonstrate a Halloween or Fall-themed item at a workshop.  Since I was using stamp sets out of the Spring/Summer Collection Catalog there wasn't any Halloween sets to chose from, so I decided to use a set that had a pumpkin in it for a little treat bag.  I really like the way it turned out.  It is more of a fall-themed item than a Halloween item, but it is still cute.

This is a great little treat bag to use for party favors.  It would look adorable around a Thanksgiving table or a fall-themed dinner table as little treats for your guests.

The supplies I used for this project are:

Stamp Set:  Give Thanks (now retired)

Inks:  Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Creamy Caramel and Old Olive

Cardstock:  Naturals White, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Kraft

Accessories:  Aqua Painter, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, Scallop Edge Punch, Small Flat Cello Bag and Planters Granola Mix

Inside the little treat holder is a small cellophane bag that is filled with Planters Granola Mix.  I thought it would be nice to have something other than candy inside.  This granola mix happens to have dried cranberries and almonds mixed in and is really pretty as well.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

This is a little turkey out of punches that Stacey showed us at our last demonstator meeting.  I thought it would be a cute photo to share for Thanksgiving day.
