FREE Inserts for your Simply Adorned Charms!

Have you been checking out our Simply Adorned jewelry line?  I know I have and I have been loving the samples I have been seeing!  I had to share this adorable sample of a Simply Adorned Charm made into a key chain that I saw on display at Spring Fling this weekend.

Isn't it great?  This is the largest charm and our most recent addition to the collection.  They charms are so nicely made and very pretty to look at.  One side has a beveled glass look and the back side is flat.  Since both sides are see through, you can have two inserts in each charm at once.

There are many wonderful samples of inserts for the jewelry floating around.  Here are some samples that Barbara Lash received in a swap that she did with a group of other demonstrators.

Seaside Wedding Guest Book

As promised, today I am posting my guest book that I made for my friend's wedding.

I have posted both the card I made for her and the wedding favors that she asked me to make for the reception.  In order to match the decorations, favors and theme of her reception, the guest book was also kept simple with a seashell theme. 

I used a stamp set from Stampin' Up! called "Seaside.  I really love this stamp set and cannot wait to incorporate it into my scrapbooking.  I am actually going to make Janice and her hubby a custom scrapbook for her wedding photos using this stamp set and color scheme.  She has some great photos of her wedding ceremony on the beach in Jamaica that would look wonderful in a scrapbook. 

For this guest book, I stamped the shells onto Creamy Caramel cardstock in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder.  I cut out each shell individually and placed them on my waves on the bottom of the book and then added some white gel pen both to the shells and to the side of the book to add some interest.  Janice wanted very simple decorations so I did not add any ribbon or anything too sparkly (other than clear embossing) to this book.

Seashell Stamp Set Wedding Favors

Wedding favors anyone? 

As one of the services I offer, I make custom items for weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, anniversaries and other special occasions.  This is one of the projects that I worked on this week for a friend of mine, Janice. 

Janice and her husband went to Jamaica to get married on the beach.  They decided to do a wedding reception with their family and friends the week after they returned from their trip.  Janice wanted simple wedding favors with a beach theme for the tables and asked me to make 120 favors for her reception. 

After picking the favor she wanted to use, I went to work punching out the cardstock, stamping the images and watercoloring the seashells.

You can see from this picture how I assembled the bottom layer to the Peppermint Patties.  I made an assembly line and did about 40 favors at one time.

This final picture shows the assembly and stacking of the favors in piles of five so I could count the favors as I went along. 

Yesterday I showed you the card I made for the wedding and today I featured the wedding favors.  Tomorrow you will see the coordinating guest book.

Easter Door Hanger Gift Box

I have been pretty busy lately making up cute little Easter Gift items for my Spring Gift Classes.  I have not been able to share them on my blog until now because I didn't finish all my classes and didn't want people to see the items until we had our class. 

My last Easter-themed Gift Class is tonight so I can finally post some of my samples!  This adorable little door hanger gift box is a great gift idea.  You can leave it on your children's door, on your neighbors door, a door in your home, etc. and leave little treats in it.  It would be great to change the theme or color scheme and include items inside like candy, notecards, seed packets for spring gardening, etc.  Let your imagination run wild.  What about making this up in a birthday theme and leaving on your child's door for them to find when they wake up in the morning? 

This sample is made using all Stampin' Up! products.  I used A Good Egg stamp set, Certainly Celery Prints Designer Series Paper, Almost Amethyst and Whisper White cardstock.

The scalloped trim on the top and bottom of the front of the box is made by using the corner rounder punch with the plastic guide carefully taken off of the punch.  I added white grosgrain ribbon and used Going Gray, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie Watercolor Wonder Crayons to color in the chick and the egg.  When cutting out the chick, I cheated a little by cutting it's legs right off so I could then draw them on with my Basic Black Stampn' Write marker - much easier than cutting them out!

5.  Learn to Stamp and Scrap with Lynn Blog - I update my blog several times a week with samples of project ideas and techniques.  You can look through my photo albums, browse through Stampin' Up! catalogs, see the monthly specials, find my class list, sign up for my Gift Registry program and many other things.  My blog is constantly growing and I am constantly updating it with things that I think will be of benefit to you and your stamping needs.  You can check out my blog at http://learntostampandscrap.typepad.com at any time. 

6.  Gift Giving - I offer several classes on making handmade gift items throughout the year.  I hold these classes at my home in Southern Vermont in the town of West Wardsboro.  I also have these events at your choice of location with a group of your friends.  These classes are especially popular during the holidays and fill up rather quickly!

7. Stampin' Up! Gift Registry- I offer a Gift Registry program that you can register for any time of the year.  All you need to do is fill out my Wish List form and submit it to me and I will take care of the rest.  Create lists for the holidays, for your birthday or just for people who think of you throughout the year.  It is a great way to get what you want from the Stampin' Up! catalogs.

8.  Gift Certificates - I offer a few versions of gift certificates.   You can purchase one in a dollar amount that people can use for products or you can purchase a gift certificate to cover a specialty class fee.  What a great way to stock up on Stampin' Up! products or to attend a class that you have had your eye on!

9.  Personalized Service - you can contact me at any time with questions about products (what the different types of inks work best for, how to use a Crop-a-Dile, etc.), color combinations, to get ideas for events you have coming up, etc.  I am available anytime to answer your questions and help you with your product needs. 

10.  Convenient Ordering - You can order from me at a workshop, a class, by email or by phone at any time.  If you would like to place your own order, i can have it sent directly to your house or place of business.  You can earn hostess benefits on your orders if you host a workshop, have a catalog party or purchase enough product to qualify for hostess benefits on your own.  The hostess benefits can be found on page 16 of the Fall / Winter Collection catalog.  Catalogs are available from me or you can view them on my blog Learn to Stamp and Scrap with Lynn .

11.  Finished Cards - Do you need Christmas cards, Wedding invitations, Baby Announcements or Thank You cards?  If so, you are in luck.  I have a portfolio with samples of these items for you to chose from.  You just need to pick the card(s) you would like and let me know the quantity.  Then, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the holidays or your event and I will take care of your cards!
