Tina's Halloween Display

While at Tina's this week, she had a cute Halloween display in her stamp studio made up of items she did at a recent Halloween Stamp Camp.  They were so cute, I thought I would share them with you.

 

The class Tina had consisted mostly of items created using our Decor Elements.  You can see them on the two glass items in this photo.  The little boxes with the bats shown on the left and right sides of the photo are samples from our weekend stamping event at the Dolce in Basking Ridge, NJ back in August.

Halloween Treat Holder

How cute is this little treat holder?  I put pencils in it just for the photo.  You could certainly put things like individually wrapped Twizzlers or Pixie Sticks inside...I am sure the kids would like that better than pencils too:))

 

The little bats are Stampin' Up!'s new bat punch.  If you don't have it, it should certainly be on your list to get - especially if you like Halloween!

Halloween Sweet Treat

Here is another project I have been showing at my workshops this month.  This is a 3D candy treat for Halloween that uses the new Sweet Treat cups from Stampin' Up!  I just love these little cups.  They make great cards, favors and little treats for any occasion.

 

This little treat measures approx. 3 x 3/14" and has a little clear cup that pops out of the center (under the "EEK You're Sweet) that holds Halloween M&Ms.

I used the following Stampin' Up! supplies to create this project:

Stamp Set:  Sweet Centers

Ink:  Versamark and Soft Suede Classic Ink

Cardstock:  Dusty Durango, Soft Suede and Whisper White

Accessories:  Black Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" circle punches and Halloween M&Ms

Build A Bear - Pumpkin

For my workshop this week, I wanted to do something fun for our Make & Take project.  This group loves Halloween and because there were 10 people making this project, I wanted to keep it fairly simple while still having it be cute. 

Isn't this bear adorable?  I can't stop using it in my projects.  I will share more of them with you in future posts, but right now, here are the supplies used to make this project:

Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Only Orange, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel and Basic Black

Stamp Set:  Holiday Best (Hostess Level 1 Set) - words "Trick or Treat" stamped inside card using Dusty Durango ink

Ink:  Close to Cocoa and Dusty Durango (for sponging the edges)

Accessories:  Big Shot, Sizzix Bigz Beary Essentials Die, Originals Kooky Spooky Die, Stampin' Sponge wedge, Close to Cocoa and Garden Green Stampin' Write Marker, 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" circle punches

Happy Halloween!

I hope that you and your family have a very Happy Halloween today!  This is my favorite time of year with the crisp air, the changing leaves, the pumpkins and of course, Halloween.  I just love decorating for the season and seeing houses decked out in all their Halloween glory.  My absolute favorite part of Halloween is seeing all the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes!  My kids are teenagers and too old to dress up, but my daughter bought her cat "Lily" a little pig costume.  Does that count?  Lily does look adorable in her costume if I must say so myself.  The poor cat didn't know what she was getting into when my daughter adopted her:))

I will leave you now with these adorable little spider treats that I made TONS of this year.  I sold most of them at a couple of craft fairs that I did over the last two weeks and also at my store. 

 

I saved a handful to pass out to a few special little trick-or-treaters.  I need to "bribe" people to come to my house to bring their kids since I live on a dirt road WAY off the beaten path of all the little munchkins looking for tricks and treats.  I actually get people that drive about 20 minutes to me to receive their goodies.  I don't get many people, but I get enough to admire how stinkin' cute the kids look in their costumes!

Pumpkin Festival, Townshend, Vermont - Craft Fair

Last weekend I finally took part in the craft fair at the Pumpkin Festival in Townshend, VT.  Each year there is a festival with a craft fair, kids' costume parade, scarecrow decorating contest and pumpkins for kids to decorate.  There are free pony rides, face painting and all kinds of food and craft booths for you to visit.

 

As you can see, we had a fabulous day for the craft fair.  I am taking this photo standing outside my tent.  I had a great location that was right at one of the main entrances.  I also had a beautiful view of this church with the mountains and the beautiful leaves.  This is such a great location for an event like this.  There is a common with a road that goes all around it that is blocked off to traffic.  It is like having your own little world for a festival.

 

Here is a little bit of what I offered in my booth.  The cards were a pretty popular item.  I have them displayed on both a table top card rack and a floor standing card rack that I purchased from Pottery Barn a few months back (they have since been discontinued).  The Frankie Treat Boxes shown on the table were also very good sellers.  There is a little box attached to the back of them that holds a cello bag filled with treats for your trick-or-treaters.  The kids (and the adults) just LOVED them!

I don't think I have to tell you how popular these little guys were:))

These little spiders and sunflowers were the hit of the show.  Just about everyone that entered the booth purchased one of these adorable little treats.  They were just so stinkin' cute, how could anyone resist them:))

New Photo Albums Added to Blog

In case you haven't already seen them, I wanted to let you know that I have added two new photo albums to my blog over the last week.  One contains photos of my Cabin Scrappin' Retreat and the other contains Home Decor idea photos using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with Dies and also using Decor Elements by Stampin' Up! 

Most of the photos from the Home Decor album are photos that I took while at Convention this year.  I absolutely love the displays that Stampin' Up! shared with us while we were there.  I have had these photos on my password protected downline/group blog and thought I would share them on my public blog now that Phase 2 of the Decor Elements has been released.  I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do!  The photo album shows some samples of different ways to use the Decor Elements.  There are some glass jars, shadow boxes, picture frames, glass door panels, etc. shown in there besides the photos of them being used on walls. 

 

The Spooky Spider Decor Elements that was put on a large jar and used for candy was a bit hit at Convention.  People have been going NUTS over that item this month.  If you haven't ordered yours yet, be sure to check out the flyer to decide which size you would like.  This item is available until October 31st, but you will want to order yours in time to get it for your Halloween decorating!

Spooky Treats Class - Ghostly Greetings Halloween Treat Boxes

  

How cute are these little Halloween Candy Treats?  These are treat holders that I made for my "Spooky Treats" Class this past month and thought I would share with you now that we are nearing Halloween.

Supplies used:

Stamps:  House of Haunts

Cardstock:  Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper and Whisper White Cardstock

Inks:  Kiwi Kiss and Basic Black

Accessories:  Stampin' Sponge (wedge for sponging), Wide Oval Punch, Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon, 1/4" Square Punch and Candy Corn for inside the treat boxes

Frankie Halloween Card made with Top Notes Bigz Die and Big Shot

Remember all those Frankie's that I shared with you a couple of days ago?  Well, I not only made the gift bag with them, I also made this adorable card. 

 

This is one of the two Halloween cards that I designed for my Cards in the Mail Program.  I send out Halloween cards in the mail by request only, they are not in the standard program mailing in case someone doesn't celebrate Halloween.

Meet Frankie from my Spooky Treats Halloween Class

 

Isn't "Frankie" the cutest thing?  I think that he is just adorable and have been playing around with him for many different projects.  One version is one that I did at my Spooky Treat Halloween Class.

 

Doesn't he look adorable on this white craft bag?  Fill it with treats for your favorite little goblin this Halloween - they will just flip over your gift!

I was making a bunch of faces for some projects I was working on.  Check this out....

Cardstock:  Gable Green, Lovely Lilac, Whisper White, Basic Black and Silver Metallic

Ink:  Green Galore (sponged around the eyes and the nose to help them "pop")

Accessories:  Top Note Bigz Die, Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, 1 3/8", 1 1/4" and 1" circle punches, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, White Gel Pen, Paper Snips and Stampin' Dimensionals
