Look what Susan sent to me!

Do you know what I love most about stamping?  It is definitely all of the connections and friendships you make along the way.  I absolutely love it when my customers (more like friends, than customers really) send me photos or samples of their cards that they have made.

This card is a sympathy card from my "friend" Susan.  Susan shared another card using the Black Magic technique a few weeks ago.  This sample is one that she wanted to be bright and cheery.  This card is certainly bright and cheery, yet perfect as a sympathy card.

Susan tells me that the centers of the flowers are really more of an apricot color, but they scanned more green.

Thanks so much for sharing Susan!  I REALLY enjoy receiving your cards and like the friendship we have been forming through our love of stamping!

Blog Reader's Sample of Black Magic

Check out this beautiful card made by one of my blog readers, Susan Byington. 

Susan was telling me that she read about the Black Magic technique in my March newsletter and had to try it out for herself.  She did not have Pure Color Pencils so she tried the technique using Watercolor Crayons full-strength (no use of water on the crayons).

I really like the balance of colors on this card.  It would make a great one for Mother's Day, a birthday, an anniversary, etc.

Customer Card Sample

I am truly blessed to be in this business and to be able to meet some wonderful people along the way.  I was sent this card by Carol Bertrand who started off as a customer of mine a few years ago, but has evolved to being a dear friend of mine as well.  It is amazing how many wonderfully special people I am fortunate to meet with my rubber stamping and scrapbooking business!

Carol and I met at a vendor exhibit in Springfield, Vermont.  She and I were both vendors at the event and Carol asked to hostess a workshop.  Carol has been a customer of mine since and has introduced me to some pretty special people that I now call my friends up in the Rutland, Vermont area. 

Thank you Carol for sending in such a wonderful card!  If anyone else would like to send a card in to me to be posted on my blog, I am going to be starting a customer card sample gallery for your wonderful creations.
