Baby Shower - Custom Diaper Cake

 

I was asked to create a diaper cake for a baby shower by a girl who met me while I was vending at the Wilmington Antique and Flea Market two weeks ago.  Alyssa lives in CT and is having a baby shower this coming weekend. 

 

She wanted a smaller, two-tiered cake with a nautical theme and this is what I came up with for her.

 

I love how the sailboat came out.  It was made using some dies for my Big Shot and cutting the pieces down to the right shapes and sizes.  I added the little button on the front of the boat to make it pop and to add a little more dimension.

I love how the cake came out and so did Alyssa when I emailed her photos of the finished cake.  It was shipped out yesterday and Alyssa should have it tomorrow.  I can't wait to hear what she thinks about the cake when she sees it in person.
