Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope you and your family have a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving day today.  I thought I would share a photo of my apple pie creation I made last night.

 

The "crafty person" that I am wanted to do something fun with my pie this year.  I made a faux-lattice pie and my own maple leaf crust edge.  This is a photo of the pie before it was baked to show the detail.

 

Aren't the maple leaves cute?

 

Here is the edge of the baked pie.  A little hard to see with the cinnamon sprinkled on top. 

 

All baked and ready to eat.  Very rustic looking - I love it.  Next time, I will need to not sprinkle the top with cinnamon so it won't look so dark in the photos and you can see the detail a little better.  I can't wait to try it later!

Well, don't eat too much today (yeah, right...is that possible?)...

Thanksgiving is a day to reflect upon what you are thankful for.  I am certainly thankful for my family - my wonderful husband and kids, my mom, my brothers and sisters, neices and nephews (my in-law portion is also included here as well). 

I am also thankful for the two little "critter" additions to our family - our little rescue dog, Harley and our stray kitten Oliver who will be spending their first Thanksgiving with us this year.  They bring such joy into our lives too.

 

Harley and Oliver enjoy spending time together - both playing and snuggling!

 

Sweet little Miss Harley - such a precious little girl.

What's Inside my Baby Bundle Gift Box?

I promised that I would share what was in my Baby Bundle gift box that I shared during the Royal Blog Tour so....here it is:

 

Pink, brown and white were the theme for my box and my card.  I had crocheted a cute little three flower headband a few weeks ago and thought it would be the perfect gift for inside my little box.

 

For thos of you who missed the box, here it is in the photo above.  I made a card that matched the box as well.

I sell my headbands at craft fairs and events that I do.  If you would like one, I can create it for you for only $10 (plus shipping and handling).  I could create the headband with any two or three colors that you wish.  Contact me if you would like me to create one for you!  This headband is for infants to approx. 5 years old.  I also make a larger headband that has four crocheted flowers on it for larger children.

Baby Bundle Gift Set - Royal Blog Tour

Today I am sharing some projects that I made using the Baby Bundle Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!  I have been wanting to create some more baby projects and this stamp set is so "stinkin' cute" that I couldn't resist picking it for the tour.

 

I wanted to make a cute little baby gift set for today's post.  First, I started off creating a box to put my gift in.  I wanted to add plenty of layers to make my box more sturdy and also more decorative.  I used punches and embossing folders as well as layers to give the project some depth and character.

 

Wanna know what is INSIDE THE BOX?  Well, you will just have to wait to see.  I will share the contents a day or two after the blog tour is over.

 

 

In this photo, you can see that I stamped the baby buggy image three times and colored in each piece.  First I stamped the base layer and colored it in.  My second layer consists of just the colored in buggy.  The third little layer is the middle section of the buggy top.  I added some silver brads for more dimension and to make them look like the center of the wheels and the little gear that lets the carriage top go up and down.

Of course, no gift set would be complete without a matching card...
