Black Friday Holiday Card - Big on Christmas

 

Every year a friend of mine comes up from Pennsylvania to visit her family here in Vermont for the Thanksgiving holiday.  One of the traditions is that she come over to my house on Black Friday and she "cranks out" her holiday cards and some other cards that she needs for special occasions.  This year was no exception.  Wendi came over and spent about three hours with me on Friday.  Nothing is pre=planned.  Wendi just comes with a list of names and tells me how many cards she needs.  I showed her a couple of stamp sets, some Designer Series Paper and then I created a card for her to make and cut the supplies for her so they were ready to stamp and assemble.  At the end of the three hour period, Wendi made 15 holiday cards (5 each of 3 styles), 6 birthday cards (3 for men and 3 for women) and two wedding cards.  Not to shabby, huh?  

For this card, we used the following Stampin' Up! supplies:

Stamp Set:  Big on Christmas

Ink:  Basic Brown, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and So Saffron

Paper:  Old Olive, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red and Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper

Accessories:  Scallop Edge Punch, Red Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Up! Dimensionals and Blender Pens

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that you and your family have a truly blessed Thanksgiving today!  We are having our feast at around 1 pm EST.

For dessert, I have made Pumpkin Mousse Cheesecake, Chocolate Cream Pie, Pumpkin Bread (and muffins) with chocolate chips in them and Apple Pie.  Top it off with some freshly whipped cream, fresh brewed coffee or tea and lots of family and friends and you have yourself the perfect day.

Big Shot Pennant Die Reindeer

Here is a reindeer that Maureen shared with us at the Shoebox Swap on Wednesday night.  She made it using felt backed vinyl in the Big Shot using Stampin' Up! exclusive Penant Die.  Jumbo eyelets were added to the top to attach the ears and to add wire to hang the reindeer from.  How stinkin' cute is this Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer?

Heard from the Heart

 

This is a fun card that we made at the Shoebox Swap the other night.  This was the card that Lucinda brought for us to make.  She used the following supplies:

Stamp Set:  Heard from the Heart (Stampin' Up!)

Ink:  Riding Hood Red

Cardstock:  Old Olive, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red and Ski Slope Designer Series Paper (my personal fav!)

Accessories:  Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, White Gel Pen and Dimensionals.
