Hello from sunny Salt Lake City, Utah! I wanted to share another of my swap cards for the Stampin' Up! Convention again today, but first I wanted to tell you a little bit about our journey here.
I arrived here today just before 12:30 pm Central Time (2:30 pm back hom in Vermont) with my downline Carol. We had great experiences traveling today. We flew Frontier Airlines which is one neither of us had flown before. We were a little nervous, but it was one of the best airlines we have flown on in awhile. The seats were very comfortable and roomy. There was a mini TV in the seat in front of you so that anyone who wanted could watch their own channel or choose a movie. Great idea when traveling with young children. I did not watch anything, but I thought it was a cool concept. The headrests were also neat. The sides of them pushed up against your head giving your head support for when you dozed off. It was really very nice. The people were friendly, they offered a great lunch service that wasn't just that boxed up, prepackaged and processed garbage. They actually had salads, 'good' sandwiches, fruit salad, etc. We would definitely fly them again. It also didn't hurt that they offered the best price around. We purchased our tickets through Expedia as they had the best rates of anyone out there.
Anyway, on to my card... This is one that I am doing for a large group swap that is taking place on Friday during our lunch hour. There are nearly 80 of us swapping during that time...77 to be exact.
Wanna take a peak at what the components of 77 cards looks like? Well, it would be something like this -
There are a lot of pieces to this swap card. I have 12 punched items on the front of the card alone - that doesn't even include the other layers on the card.
So, I bet you want to see the whole card, don't you? Well, here it is:
The supplies used on this card are as follows:
Stamp set: Fabulous Flowers
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Ink: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White Craft
Accessories: Blue Gingham Ribbon, Craft and Ribbon Scissors, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and Dimensionals.
The flower looked a little plain so in the center, I added Crystal Effects and a touch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center of them. You can see the glitter a little bit better here:
Well, I am off to bed now. It is almost 11:30 pm back home in Vermont and we have been up since 4:30 am. Tomorrow is a busy day. We get to check-in to Convention starting at 9 am. Carol and I will be in line bright and early as we get our Convention bags, books, FREE stamp sets AND the NEW FALL/WINTER IDEA BOOK AND CATALOG. We are just too excited to be getting our hands on that book tomorrow!
We are then off to a tour of our Riverton Facility where we see the home offices and the warehouse where the shipping takes place. It will be Carol's first time visiting there and I cannot wait to see her face. The building is just beautiful - there is even a waterfall inside the building right in the break/lunch area. It is truly spectacular!
So, thanks for stopping by and good night. Hopefully more tomorrow.
Lynn
