Here we are on day two of our trip to Salt Lake City, Utah for our Stampin' Up! Convention. Today we got to check in and get our Convention bags (which are absolutely gorgeous done up in Baha Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip - I guess you can tell I would love those colors wouldn't you?). We also got our demonstrator copy of our NEW Fall / Winter Idea Book and Catalog which is fabulous. I was practically drooling when I was reading it. We all received 3...yes 3 FREE stamp sets just for attending Convention for our Make & Take projects. I also got another FREE stamp set for sales. I got another awesome gift from my Service Account Manager (aka SAM) for earning the cruise.
After getting our bags and catalogs, Carol (on the left) and I went on a bus tour to our Riverton Facility. This picture is taken by the waterfall inside the building, right in the break / lunch area where the SU employees enjoy. The facility is just incredibly gorgeous.
This is a view outside of one of the windows in side the facility. How gorgeous are the mountains in the background? The last time I was here, we were here about a week earlier and their was SNOW on the tops of the mountains. There was a little here and there, but not much. The views are still incredible though.
When we got back from our tour, we got to shop in Momento Mall and get some fabulous Stampin' Up! logo items - clothing, pens, chapsticks, camera bags, craft bags, etc. The line was all the way down the length of the Convention Center for about 9 hours today. I didn't go to the mall until 6 pm (when there were no lines) because I had to go to my Make and Take Helper training session. That's right, this year I am helping to teach the demos how to make the projects with their new stamp sets that they will be taking home. My shift is Saturday morning and I am very excited.
After my training and making my projects, I met up with a group of demos for dinner at the Olive Garden. We had such a blast. We are now back in our room swapping cards and gifts and then reading the catalog and making our wish lists. So much fun...don't you want to join us next year?~
Tomorrow is the actual first day of Convention when we start off with a General Session, get to see demonstrations using new products, etc. We also have our Awards Night tomorrow night followed by an evening of fabulous entertainment.
I will be walking across stage this year three times - for earning the trip to Hawaii, for reaching my $100,000 in career sales and also for my personal sales this year. I am very excited!
Well, I had better run. It is getting late again tonight and I have to get my things ready for tomorrow.
Have a great night and I will have more from Convention this week. Tomorrow is a busy day with a full day of Convention and then running to dinner and then getting to Awards and Entertainment night. I most likely won't be able to post until Friday, but you never know~
