February Sketch Challenge Entry #3

Febsketchchallenge2 Here is the second Card Sketch Challenge entry for the month of February.  I cannot let you know who made this card just yet because I keep the entries annonymous so they can be voted on fairly starting on March 1st.

If you are interested in taking part of this sketch challenge, all you need to do is submit an email to me with a photo of your project that uses the layout used in my sketch.  You can use whatever color combination or stamp set you would like to make your card as long as it matches the layout for the month.

Beginning on March 1st, I will put a poll up on my blog for you to vote for your favorite entry and the winner will receive an accessory buffet from me that includes, ribbon, brads, eyelets and some incredibly wonderful Flower Fusion felt flowers (all products from Stampin' Up!).  How cool is that?

So, hurry and get your entries in to me before the end of the month so they can be posted and viewed by everyone before we need to do our voting!

Good Luck!

Lynn

Happy Valentine's Day

011This is the little gift set that I am leaving out for my hubby Valentine's Day morning.  We usually leave each other something the night before a holiday or an event.  That way, when we wake up and come downstairs in the morning there is a surprise on the dining room table waiting for us.  This is the card and little candy jar that I am leaving as my morning surprise.

I reworked this Happy Heart Day card from the original red version so that it would coordinate better with my candy jar.  I used Wild Wasabi cardstock and double stitched grosgrain ribbon and I actually think it makes a nice masculine Valentine card.

010

I made the candy jar by applying rub-ons to the front of the jar and adding a White Taffeta ribbon to keep it simple.

How do you think hubby will like this little set when he sees it?

Happy Heart Day Card

007How would you like to receive this card for Valentine's Day?  I know that I sure would...hint, hint:))

This is a card that I have been making for my workshops over the last two weeks and it has been a pretty big hit!

This sample uses all Stampin' Up! products.  I used Real Red, Whisper White and Close to Cocoa cardstock and Close to Cocoa Prints Designer Series Paper.  I stamped the elephant image from the Happy Heart Day stamp set in Jet Black StazOn and then 004watercolored the image with blender pens, Bordering Blue, Real Red and Garden Green.

I stamped the elephant a second time on Bordering Blue cardstock and cut it out.  You can see in this second picture how I added dimensionals to the back of my little cut out elephant to make him pop off the card.  I also added white gel pen on his little toe nails to add some interest.  I know, how cute is he with the white nails?

So, do you think my honey might like this card for Valentine's Day?  I can't decide whether to give it to my hubby or to my daughter.  What do you think?  Leave a comment at the bottom of this post with your thoughts.  Thanks!

My Downline Group Meeting

005 Tonight was my Stamped Art from the Heart group meeting night.  I decided to make a fun treat for tonight's meeting.  Here is a picture of my Sour Cream Sugar Cookies with Homemade Frosting.  I added a couple of M&Ms on the cookies and scattered them on the plate for even more interest...and, of course, chocolate:))029

Here is a cute little sample card using the adorable Happy Heart Day stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I will be posting more samples using this set over the next couple of days.  It is such a fun set and just too darn cute:))

Happy Heart Day to you all...
