This is the little gift set that I am leaving out for my hubby Valentine's Day morning. We usually leave each other something the night before a holiday or an event. That way, when we wake up and come downstairs in the morning there is a surprise on the dining room table waiting for us. This is the card and little candy jar that I am leaving as my morning surprise.
I reworked this Happy Heart Day card from the original red version so that it would coordinate better with my candy jar. I used Wild Wasabi cardstock and double stitched grosgrain ribbon and I actually think it makes a nice masculine Valentine card.

I made the candy jar by applying rub-ons to the front of the jar and adding a White Taffeta ribbon to keep it simple.
How do you think hubby will like this little set when he sees it?

These are soooo cute!

Your hubby MUST have loved it because it is "the sweetest thing" Rub-ons are incredible, hey? I'm really impressed with the high quality of Stampin Ups too. I compared other brands and am in love with the SU ones. :0) Mel

The card is absolutley fabulous! Coordinates well with the Candy Jar! I think it is a perfect card for a male!
How do you like the rub-ons? I've not been a huge fan of rubons in the past, but I have not tried SUs rub-ons.

So cute! I agree with ya, the green makes it seem more manly - I bet he'll love it! (Especially if your green M&Ms are a hint-LOL!)
I do have a question for ya though: I've been seeing the new SU! rub-ons demo'd on glasses and mugs - are they permanent on there? Will they wear off if they get wet (like when you wash the dishes)?
Thanks,
Catherine
