Tonight was my Stamped Art from the Heart group Holiday Party. Here is a picture of some of my group at the table right after we finished eating dinner. From left to right around the table are: Ilene, Jacquie, Trisha, Gina and Mary (with her back to me). They didn't know I was taking the picture and Carol had snuck away from the table before I snapped the photo.
For our holiday party, we do a pot luck dinner, make a little handmade/handstamped gift for everyone and bring one $10 gift wrapped so we can draw numbers to see who gets which gift. We have such a blast.
Our pot luck dinner included pork chops smothered in sauteed onions, chicken and broccoli rice casserole, Jewish baked beans, pasta salad, chicken wings and potato wedges, a huge garden salad with homemade dressing, apple crisp and pumpkin bread (with chocolate chips - yum!), a variety of soda, iced green tea and water. The food was fabulous and the company was even better! We even had holiday music playing in the background.
After dinner, we headed into the other room to exchange our gifts. Here's a picture of Carol on the left with Gina while opening gifts.
Gina drew the number one so she got to open the first gift...and the fun begins...
Gina received this wonderful tin that Trisha made. The first photo is a picture of the top of the outer tin and then when you open it up, there were four smaller tins on the inside that were stamped to spell "s-n-o-w". So cute and Gina just loved her gift.
Here are two adorable jar candles that Jacquie decorated as her gift. I was lucky enough to receive these candles as my gift!
This adorable snowman stacking gift box would make the perfect gift alone. Inside though, were wonderful handmade treasures from Ilene. Trisha received this as her gift and was excited to find a fabulous homemade loaf of bread in the bottom box, the middle tier had homemade spiced nuts and the top layer had a candle with a beautiful decorated band.
This gift was a tease because I LOVE snowmen and collect them. This cute little stacking gift box was supposed to come in the house, but not leave:)) Someone forgot to tell him that though..LOL.
Anyway, I got so carried away looking at all the awesome gifts, that I missed taking photos of everything. Mary had made a beautiful pine arrangement in a stamped vase with a beautiful wired ribbon and accents inside. I can't believe I missed taking a photo of that!
I will have more photos of another gift from this exchange and the little individual gifts in another post tomorrow.
If you are interested in taking part in this event with us next year, contact me to join our group of stamping business owners and share in all of this excitement and inspiration. It truly is a blast!
