Reverse Negative

004 This is a technique that I did at my technique class called Stamp and Scrap University last night.  This is actually not the sample that we did.  I was going to post that one, but I actually gave my sample away so I don't have it to post.  This is such an awesome technique that is very striking and easy to do.

Check out for my class schedule for my next Stamp & Stamp University.  I hold them twice a month at my home in West Wardsboro, Vermont.

Convention Memories

October_downline_meeting_025 This is a scrapbook page that we made at the Stampin' Up! Convention in Denver, Colorado this year at our "stamping pajama party".  We took Denver by storm with approximately 3,000 women walking down the streets of downtown Denver heading over to the Convention Center in OUR PAJAMAS!  We had a blast that night!

This is a photo of me with three of my downline - Carol, Trisha and Jacquie.  It was their first Convention and we all had a blast together.  We learned a lot and saw so many new and wonderful things.  We left with lists of ideas for our classes and events from August through January.

One of my favorite things about attending Stampin' Up! events is that I get to see friends that I have made that our part of our extended group.  I have friends from all over the country, Hawaii and Canada.  I really like attending events like Convention, Leadership Conference and the cruise so I can spend time with these wonderful people I now call my friends.  I cannot imagine my life without Stampin' Up! and all of these incredible people I have met.  This is more than a business and I cannot believe that I get paid to do this.  How awesome is that?!

If you would like to receive more information about starting your own rubber stamping and scrapbooking business, you can contact me at happy.stamper@yahoo.com or 802-380-0222.  I would love to send you more information or answer any questions you may have.

If you are interesting in making gift items like this one, please check out my class schedule.  I can also do a private class for you and a group of your friends on a date and time that works best for you.  You can contact me at 802-380-0222 or happy.stamper@yahoo.com.

October_downline_meeting_015 Aren't these the cutest cards?!  I just did a Holiday Card-Fest tonight using the Big on Christmas stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Fall / Winter Collection catalog and these are the adorable cards that we made using the Wintergreen Designer Series Paper.

Halloween Goodies and Ronald McDonald House

HereRmhc_005_2 are some samples of some Halloween goodies.  The sour cream container is one that I have been doing at my workshops and also posted on this blog before.  The french fry holder and the little spider box are new additions to the blog.  I received both of these adorable items in a WOW swap that I participated in.  Some of these items were also given as a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charities for their Boston House.  I recently signed on as a Volunteer for RMH and asked for some donations of Halloween goodies to send to the children and families in the Boston, MA House.  I posted an email to a group of demonstrators about three days before we were holding a large event.  I asked for donations of cards and Halloween goodies that I would collect at the event and mail to the Lead Volunteer of the Boston House for distribution to the families there.  At the event, I collected 22 Halloween goodie bags (similar to these) and also some cards.  I was so impressed by the quick response to action from the demonstrators who made the donations.  It is such a great feeling to help others in need.  Unfortunately, it never crossed my mind to take a picture of the basket filled with all the goodies we collected until AFTER I mailed out the package.  I had samples of a few of the items and thought I would still share those with you.

I will be adding one extra card project to my classes for my customers to do at future events so that we can continually donate items to RMH.  They are always in need of cards and the addition of little gift items around the holidays is an added bonus for them.  I will be making up some cute holiday projects for people to make and have donated as well, so stay tuned for more on this wonderful cause.  If you would like to donate cards, projects or contribute money to the Meal Fund or toward items on the Boston House's wish list, please contact me directly at happy.stamper@yahoo.com or mail items to me at:  Lynn Larson, PO Box 88, West Wardsboro, VT 05360.  I will be sending things over to the Lead of the Boston House at least once a month (more if needed).  ANY contributions you can make would be greatly appreciated!

043

This card is such an easy card to make.  I have been showing it at my workshops and it was a Stamp-a-Stack card this month as well.

I did it in two different color versions - the Almost Artichoke / Mellow Moss version was used at the Stamp-a-Stacks and the Blue Bayou / Soft Sky was used at my workshops.

The following Stampin' Up! supplies were used:  Snow Jumbo Wheel, Snowflake Spot stamp set, Always Artichoke or Blue Bayou ink, Crop-a-Dile, Gold or Silver eyelet, 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches, Dimensionals and matching grosgrain ribbon.  I even added some white gel pen to the blue sample (I just love that gel pen!).

053If you would like to attend an upcoming Holiday Card-fest to get a jump start on your holiday cards, please check out my calendar of events or email me at happy.stamper@yahoo.com.

Big on Christmas

058 This is one of my favorite cards so far this year!  I absolutely love snowmen, not to mention the color green.  This card used the Let it Snow stamp from the Big on Christmas stamp set.  I absolutely fell in love with this stamp set when I saw my first sample with it.

I used Sage Shadow cardstock for the base of this card and layered it with Always Artichoke, Wintergreen Designer Series Paper and Certainly Celery.  I mounted the stamped image onto Sage Shadow before attaching it with Dimensionals to the card.  The image is colored in with markers.  I used Sage Shadow, Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke, Ruby Red, Certainly Celery and Basic Black.  As if the card wasn't cute enough, I had a request from my hostess, Tina to do a project with a snowman and glitter.  (She likes cards with glitter and sparkle).  So, for Tina, I added some Crystal Effects and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the tops of the letters, the tip of the carrot nose, a little on the hat and an outline of the snowman's jaw.  I have to thank Tina for asking for the addition of the glitter which pushed the card up to a higher level!  Tina said that no one is getting that card from her:))  She might even frame it and put it on her wall.  I may just need to join her in the framing of this one.  I think this may just be my Christmas card this year.  Not only is it a really nice card, but it is quick to make.  I can stamp a bunch of the Whisper White pieces and then take the stamped cardstock and markers with me to color in during a break, lunch or waiting at a doctor's office.

I have been featuring this card at my workshops this month.  If you would like to host your own workshop to see step-by-step how this card is made or if you would like to purchase the items to make this card, contact me at happy.stamper@yahoo.coml

Sassy Stems meets the Crop-A-Dile

This is such a fun card.  I have been playing around with it using different techniques and color combinations.  I am particularly fond of this color combination of Not Quite Navy and More Mustard cardstocks.  The addition of Not Quite Navy eyelets added032 to the flowers of the Sassy Stems stamp set using the Crop-a-Dile is the perfect accent to this card.  I just love how easy the Crop-a-Dile is to use for so many different techniques.  Attaching eyelets is so easy, not to mention quiet.  All supplies used on this product are from Stampin' Up!

If you would like to learn how to use the Crop-A-Dile, contact me at happy.stamper@yahoo.com for more information about attending a class or workshop.

Happy Thanksgiving

034

Here is a simple watercolor card that I have been doing at my workshops this month.  All supplies for this card are from Stampin' Up! and uses my favorite pumpkin stamp set "Autumn Harvest" from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Everyone has been very excited to have one of their Thanksgiving cards done already.  It has been a big hit.

To make this card, we stamped the small pumpkin first in Timber Brown Staz On, masked that pumpkin and stamped the larger one so that the large pumpkin looks like it is sitting behind the smaller one.  We then watercolored the pumpkins using Aqua Painters and Watercolor Wonder Crayons.  The bottom half of the card front has the leaves randomly in Old Olive ink.  Before adding the strip of Pumpkin Pie, we added two gold brads to the right of the words using the Incredible Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes and to attach the eyelets.  Finally, we added the strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and stamped the words in Chocolate Chip ink and layered our pumpkins onto Chocolate Chip cardstock before attaching them to the card.
